The Gran Fondo course is characterized by three main climbs and the steep stretches of Vidiano and Bagnolo.
To make it easier to overcome the several stretches at a gradient over 10% (including the 16% Vidiano climb, the steepest of the course) we suggest using at least a 27-tooth cog, or a Compact crank set.
The Medio Fondo course is 1,000 metres less steep because it skips the Passo S.Barbara. We still suggest using low gears as stretches over 10% are frequent.
The Cicloturismo course is characterized by a lot of valley tracts, two slopes of medium speed, Momeliano e Bagnolo, of about 3,5 km and gradients of about 5-6 %.
We recommend to pay particular attention to all the declivities, expecially to the one from Passo S.Barbara: the way is narrow and there are a lot of insidious bends. Let’s use the utmost caution!
